
When a cooking gas is turned on with out igniting fire, the place soon gets filled up with gas and can lead to a fire outbreak. However, if we turn on the cooking gas and ignite fire, the gas is consumed by the combustion which in turn supplies heat for cooking. This is the same principle that led to the formation of the Darvaza gas crater commonly called “Door to hell”. In other to prevent the spread of methane gas in a gas carven, geoscientist, geoscientist in the year 1971 ignited the carven which has since then become a site to behold.
